Students with a specific learning difficulty in UK schools and colleges are usually entitled to exam concessions in all tests and examinations. The purpose of them is to allow the individual to fully access a test so that they are not disadvantaged due to their disability.
Examples of exam concessions include: 25% extra time, use of a word processor, a scribe (someone to write the answers on your behalf, (or use of a word processor), and reading software. There are other concessions depending on need and normal way of working.
I am qualified to test students for exam access arrangements for Key Stages 2 - 5 and further and higher education. Section C Of the Form 8 will be completed for GCSE and 'A' Level applications for exam access arrangements.
The recommendations made are always at the school's discretion and must reflect the student's normal way of working.
Please note that this service is included in the Full Diagnostic and DSA Assessments.
